There are many reasons to stay at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel. Not only are you in the middle of the action for your whole vacation, you also have free transportation to and from the Orlando International Airport and to all of the Walt Disney World parks and attractions, among many other perks as well. But perhaps the biggest advantage to staying in a Disney resort is access to the Walt Disney World theme parks before and after regular park hours - or what Disney refers to as Extra Magic Hours.
Check out our Extra Magic Hours page for current park hours... Extra Magic Hours at Disney World.
Extra Magic Hours is a concept that only Disney has perfected. Every day, one park opens one hour early and another park stays open up to three hours after regular park closing so that Disney resort guests can enjoy access to the most popular Disney attractions without the big crowds to fight with. You can enter the park for Morning Extra Magic Hours just by showing your Disney room identification at the front gate, and at that day's select Evening Extra Magic Hours park, just show that same identification and you will receive a special wristband that will allow you to enjoy all the extra fun that evening. As a reminder though, each park has a specific day in which they are designated as the Morning or Evening Extra Magic Hours park, and only those parks will allow the extra early or late admittance. Also, you must have a valid ticket for that park that day to enter and enjoy the Extra Magic Hours.
