Tiny Baby Monster hatches at Gatorland

At that size, maybe it's not so monstrous. What you see above is a tiny Cuban Crocodile who was hatched at 2:30pm on July 6, 2010. Gatorland welcomed the new baby -- just one of a a whole set of hatchlings, the parks first of 2010 -- to its new home at the "Alligator Capital of the World." Go to Gatorland's Facebook page for more fantastic pics of these amazing reptiles.

Gatorland is a privately-owned theme park and wildlife preserve that has been a part of Orlando since 1949. The "alligator capital of the world" features thousands of reptiles for observation, plus shows, a breeding marsh with an observation tower, a petting zoo, aviary, swamp walks, and many educational programs. There's even a water park area, for super hot days.

Gatorland often takes their reptiles on the road to educate people about these unique animals, including conservation efforts and what to do if you find an alligator in your backyard. Gatorland also manages the live alligator display at the gorgeous Gaylord Palms Resort in Kissimmee.
