Two great ways to spend your Saturday -- FREE daytime fun, and a great midnight movie!

Drive down to the Ivanhoe Village area of Orlando -- one of five Main Street neighborhoods designated by the city of Orlando -- for the Autumn Fair. On Saturday, October 16, the festivities begin at 11am and go until 4pm, stretching from N. Orange Avenue (bet. Princeton and New Hampshire) to Virginia Drive (bet. Orange and Mills). There will be vendors, crafts, handmade apparel, art, jewelry, local boutique sidewalk sales, and a pumpkin patch with a pumpkin painting contest. This unique neighborhood holds many events throughout the year, and the weather tomorrow is perfect for walking around and taking in local shops, local foods, and supporting local artists.

If you're after something a little scarier -- it is Halloween season, after all -- then this weekend's Enzian Theater midnight movie is just what you need. The feature this week is Re-Animator, based on the short story "Herbert West, Reanimator" by horror great H.P. Lovecraft. The film is presented in its entirety by Movie Joint Orlando, a group of classic and vintage film fans dedicated to bringing classic films back to independent movie houses. This Saturday is the 25th anniversary of the film (which is DEFINITELY not for kids), and the cut shown is the
original, restored 35mm FILM PRINT for "True Theatrical Picture and Sound." Movie Joint and Enzian recommend you arrive early for the best seats and for some drink specials at the Eden Bar, located right outside the theater. Tickets can also be purchased online.

Enzian serves food and drinks prior to screenings. While waiting for your orders, you'll also get to enjoy vintage trailers and short film clips. This is a rare opportunity to see a classic midnight movie in a theater that truly respects both the movies and movie fans. Doors open at 11:45pm.
