Fans of the chicken dance have until April 1 to ride the simulator on a daily basis, with periodic openings throughout the spring and summer tourist seasons. The Nickelodean-based ride will close for good in August 2011.
The ride will be replaced with an as-yet-unknown attraction that Universal says will be a "natural fit...[indicative of] many exciting things planned for the next couple of years."
Reaction to the closing has ranged from indifferent to pleased -- seems Jimmy wasn't a popular lad in recent years, so most people are fine with the attraction closing. Hopefully, whatever replaces it will prove more timeless with more park guests.

LOL, When I rode the Jimmy Neutron ride a couple of years ago, it broke down half way through, the attendant said it will be fixed almost immediately and we could stay and re-ride or leave - my friend and I looked at each other and silently got up and left - as did almost the entire 'audience' - a good indication of the popularity, or not, of an attraction.
