UPDATE: Alan Arkin will NOT be appearing at the Florida Film Festival

Last week, we were thrilled to announce a special event with Alan Arkin at the Florida Film Festival. Unfortunately, Mr. Arkin was in an accident and while we are pleased to report he is safe and healthy, he will not be able to attend the festival as planned. Here is the scoop, from The Orlando Weekly: "...it appears the legendary actor was involved in a car accident late Wednesday night, and while he is relatively unharmed, some inner ear problems will be preventing him from attending [the festival] after all. [The Florida Film Festival] is working on filling that slot with some other programming." We wish Mr. Arkin a speedy recovery. We'll keep you posted on what will be filling the slot as soon as we know more.
