Rock and Roll Cocktail Parties At Hard Rock Orlando

On the last Thursday of every month (except November and December), the city's music and cocktails can be found at the Hard Rock. The Velvet Sessions feature amazing performers in a lush lounge atmosphere of the Velvet Bar and Lobby Lounge.

The sessions feature specialty cocktail themes, each one created for that specific night. And the ticket prices are reasonable, even for VIP (which includes free drinks, fingerfoods and special "before" party access to prime you for the night) -- $29 advance, $35 at the door, and only $50 for VIP. Given that you can barely buy a regular concert ticket for those prices, the Velvet Sessions are a serious music-lover's bargain.

The next Velvet Session is the Psychedelic Furs -- one of my personal faves and well worth seeing anywhere, but especially in this venue. Check the website or get on the invite list for future shows and performers, as well as the occasional special event invitation.
