Summer nights are a great time to be out and about in Orlando. The sun goes down and things cool off a bit, plus you no longer have to repply sunscreen every five minutes. Sea World Orlando offers a fantastic way to keep the fun going well into the night, for the whole family.
Summer Nights at Sea World run until August 14, 2011. Sunset brings on "whole new adventures" in the park, including games, shows, plus all the rides and attractions. There is a nightly fireworks and fountain show to round out the evening.
Things begin at 6pm daily, when Summer Nights Central by the shores of the lake opens. Food, drinks and treats are available for purchase, plus free games and DJs spinning tunes for everyone to dance. Adults, there is even a special treat for you -- for $25, you can enjoy unlimited samples of 20 different beer samples. This was a long-loved favorite thing to do when Annheiser Busch still owned the park, and it's great to see the current owners bringing this back, even if just for a limited time. Hopefully, if it goes well, they'll keep it around all year.
Summer Nights is included with your regular Sea World admission, and special VIP packages are available for an additional fee. VIP gets you front of line access, reserved seating for all shows and dinner at the Makahiki Luau. It's not cheap -- $125 per adult and $100 per kid -- but during this high capacity time of year, it's worth it if you can swing it.
