Disney's family-friendly Halloween is back!

Every year around this time, many Orlando vacation blogs blow up with news about Universal Studio's Halloween Horror Nights and Busch Gardens' HowlOScream. And while it's true both of these award-winning seasonal events deserve the attention they get, it can feel like those not looking to get scared out of their fool minds this October have no where to turn. But fear not! Walt Disney World is here for you.

The biggest of the three is Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. This event is exactly as advertised -- a big Halloween party thrown by Mickey, held at the Magic Kingdom (regular park admission does NOT cover Not-So-Scary; you must purchase a separate event ticket). There are some scares here and there, especially the Mickey's Boo-To-You Halloween parade -- it's led by the Headless Horseman and is ONLY done during this event -- but mostly this event is a great time for families to don their costumes and trick-or-treat at the Happiest Place on Earth. Here are this year's dates -- get tickets early! This party tends to sell out fast.

September 11, 14, 18 21, 25, 28, 30

October 4, 5, 8, 11, 12, 14, 16, 18, 21, 22, 23, 25, 28, 30 and 31

Ticket pricing can change depending on the date, and dates closer to Halloween are generally more expensive and more in-demand.
