Universal Orlando's popular Mardi Gras celebration returns this weekend for its annual run (select weekends through April 20, 2013). The park's official Facebook page premiered pics of four floats that are new for 2013, including the Day of the Dead (my personal favorite). Things look to be taking an international turn this year, as you will see when you check out the other three floats. And remember to "like" your favorite; you can click the one you dig the most in the Universal Orlando Facebook photo album.

I'm a big fan of this event. The bombast, the sequins, the "no-frills" beads (it is a family park, after all), and the music make it tremendous fun. While I normally advocate skipping parks on the weekends, this is a great reason to brave the crowds and go get you some beads.
