Cool for Kids: Learn to Paddleboard
This Hawaiian sport has made its way to Orlando. Stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) is a great way to work out and have a great time. Simply put, you stand up on an oversized surfboard and paddle around on the water -- in this case, Lake Ivanhoe in Gaston Edwards Park. Maui B's Paddleboarding offers private lessons as well as meet-ups, family outings (including river expeditions and ocean outings), and paddleboard parties. Classes start at only $25/hour (when you bring your own board); 3-hour parties that include lessons, 3 paddleboards, and your own private instructor are only $250. (1236 N. Orange Ave, 800-671-9905)
