Craft beer is kind of a big deal these days. With many cities boasting their own brewery (or three) and the ranks of DIY home brewers growing daily, it's no surprise that the market for innovative beer is booming. Whether you're interested in the history of craft beers in Florida, hard cider, home brewing, or just drinking a few delicious beers, the DeLand Craft Beer Festival has something for you.
The kickoff party is on Thursday, February 7 at 8pm, but the main event is on Saturday, February 9. The gates open at 11am, the casks will be tapped at 1pm. Although the beer stops flowing at 5pm, the fun doesn't end there. Join your fellow craft beer lovers in downtown DeLand for great food and music options. Tickets are $35 in advance and $40 at the gate. The event is 21+, so don't forget your ID at home.
With a list of over 30 vendors and breweries, there's sure to be something to suit everyone's taste, whether you like super hoppy beer or refreshing wheats. Who knows, maybe you'll decide to go with beer instead of Champagne this Valentine's Day.
